The New Guy is a strange, ghostly umbrella-like being who lives in a Warehouse. He has a huge obsession with Mouse Fitzgerald's best friend Skillet and a lounge/exotic song called Princess Cruiser by Tongo Hiti, which often plays on his Record Player so he can dance to it on a hula hoop to hypnotize and torture people with it (mainly Skillet).

Design

The New Guy is a red anthropomorphic umbrella with yellow eyes and two sets of legs, which are green and blue. He also has two stick-like arms with three fingered hands, which only appear when he hula hoops.

Alliances & Friendships

The New Guy is heavily obsessed with Skillet, from following the chinchilla around to dancing with him outside Liquor's store. In "Rooster", the New Guy once kidnapped Skillet to tie him up in a chair and torture him with Princess Cruiser in his Warehouse. He was also one of the many characters who helped Mouse Fitzgerald escape the simulation in the "Invictus" special. He even befriended Francis at the end of "Francis, Cheap & Out of Control." In the third season, the New Guy had a job interview with the Industry Man at Shyd Industries, getting a job from there.

Enemies

The New Guy was once kidnapped by Shark in "Eighteen", who would later eat and digest him, making his song come out from the insides of his mouth and body. His digested corpse was later grabbed out of Shark's body by Fitz in "Farewell." He is also shown defeating some Tie-Bots summoned by Shark and the Rectangular Businessman in the "Invictus" special.

• The New Guy sleeps on a dog-like bed, as revealed in "Spider."
• The insides of the New Guy were shown once in "Bowtime."
• In the "Invictus" special, the New Guy ripped his clothes off to reveal that he's actually a smaller version of himself that can talk. His smaller form was voiced by Mike Lazzo, who is currently now one of the former vice presidents of Adult Swim, retiring from the company in 2019.
• In the Season 3 episode "Awaken", the New Guy is revealed to have a closet full of his own clothes.
